YES,Our lab grown diamonds are 100% diamond in every way. Simulants such as Cubic Zirconium, Moissanite and diamond-coated materials are in no way a diamond – the reason they cost much less. Online companies selling lab-created gems often misrepresent their product as a diamond. Ours are type IIa which are the rarest and most valued of all real diamonds. Less than 2% of the world's diamonds are Type IIa! Diamonds are categorized into four types: Type Ia, Type Ib, Type IIa, and Type IIb. Diamonds that are IIa contain no measurable amount of nitrogen in the crystal structure. This impurity is what imparts a tint to “would be” colorless diamonds.

No. Better Earth Diamonds are a patented, proprietary product and are different from CZ or moissanite in chemical composition, physical properties, and visual characteristics. They are much closer to mined diamonds visually and in the manner in which they wear. While a well-cut CZ may look similar to a diamond when it is new, it is a weak and porous stone that easily deteriorates, scratches and becomes cloudy. Moissanite refracts light differently and is around 2.5 times as sparkly as a diamond. While moissanite is nearly as hard as a diamond, it looks different and is easily distinguished from a diamond by eye alone.

The most important aspects of a lab grown diamond is that no eco-systems are being destroyed and no one is being killed to make a profit. Lab grown diamonds also cost less 30-50%+ less than mined diamonds -- so you save money while obtaining the most sparkly material on the planet. While physically and chemically identical to mined diamonds, the main difference is in the pricing. Large rough diamond miners claim that mined diamonds are rare. This claim places a controlled pricing onto mined diamonds. Lab grown diamonds are free of this price control and are more rare than mined diamonds! Bain & Company reports about 133 million carats are mined each year. So how rare are natural diamonds really?

Lab-grown diamonds are grown by 1 of 2 processes: High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) or Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). With HPHT, the technicians place a diamond “seed” (a small portion of a diamond crystal) into a graphite box which then simulates nature by applying high amounts of heat and pressure, melting the graphite into pure carbon and thus, creating a larger diamond crystal. In the other process, Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), a material is deposited from a gas (usually a mixture of hydrogen and methane), onto a diamond plate. A chemical reaction then takes place, producing deposits that grow onto the diamond plate. These processes take on average a few weeks to grow a rough diamond crystal ready for cutting.

Since the 1950s! At first, they weren’t gem quality to set into jewelry but were mostly used for industrial cutting, because diamond is so hard. It has taken decades to perfect the process to grow gem quality diamonds which meet natural diamonds in terms of desirability and size.

The same as a mined diamond in that you will be offered about 40-60% less than current market value of your diamond. Reason being, retailers can buy most anything at wholesale prices, so they need to purchase it for less to make it worth their while. We never hollow out our rings to cut costs—a common practice that we refuse to accept. Comparatively speaking, our jewelry tends to be heavier. We stand by each piece of jewelry we create so that you can enjoy it for your whole life—and the generations that come after can, too. The most popular metals for fine jewelry are 14 karat white or yellow gold, but almost all of our 14 karat gold jewelry is also available in 14 karat rose gold, 18 karat gold, palladium or platinum. To make one of these selections, simply contact Customer Service. We also offer a select line of 10 karat gold engagement rings. This gold looks similar to 14 karat gold but costs less; it is also more brittle than 14 karat gold so it is not suitable for all rings. A 10-carat ring is not as durable as a 14 karat ring. Additionally, we produce a wide range of jewelry. Platinum is a high-grade, tarnish-resistant type of sterling silver called Argentium. This is then plated with pure platinum. Lorian Platinum is a beautiful choice for fashion jewelry, but we do not recommend it for engagement rings or jewelry expected to last for decades. Just as our manmade Contemporary Better Earth Diamonds are more eco- and socially-conscious than using mined diamonds, the metals we use are environmentally-friendly as well. We strive to use recycled gold or certified green-mined metals from Canada or Australia.

If your package has been damaged or lost, It takes up to 8-10 business before we can re-ship your order or give you full credit.

We get so many items a day (and sometimes run low on popular items) that it's very difficult to keep up-to-the-minute information on our site. If your items are on backorder it can take 2-4 weeks to receive your item. Of course, this amount of time will vary. You have several options: You can keep your item on backorder and wait till your item is available again. You can choose another item instead of the one you purchased. If there is a price difference, you will either be credited or charged You can simply cancel that particular item if you don’t want to wait for it or change the order.

RETURN, REPLACEMENT & REFUND

As per our 15-Days Exchange Warranty, you have two choices:

1. You can either buy the same product from our website.

2. If that particular product is not available, you can pick up any other product of equal or higher value. For higher value products, you will have to pay the additional difference in pricing.


Yes, you will have to bear the shipping and handling cost involved in sending the defective product back to us.


All our products are insured for transit damages. However, if you think that the order has been tampered with or the package is open at the time of receipt, please DO NOT accept the order and ask the courier executive to take it back. Importantly, please inform us about the discrepancy by sending an email to orders@kapoorlampshade.com within 24 hours, so that we can take corrective action at the earliest.
